Washington Post on Obama's Speechifying

Well-written article by Michael Eric Dyson. I love learning new words!

Anaphora: Repeating the same word or phrase at the beginning of successive sentences. "I believe that we can give our middle class relief. . . . I believe we can provide jobs for the jobless. . . . I believe that we have a righteous wind at our backs."

Epistrophe: Repeating the same phrase at the end of successive sentences (or "clauses"). Like "yes we can" at Grant Park.

"Start low, go slow, rise high, strike fire and sit down."
